Dear MLZ,

4  MSI Main Arena / Mindless Banter / Re: <3 I miss this place! So many memories! on: May 10, 2016, 02:32:01 PM
I remember the time I met Richee at Irving Plaza.

You were there... and you were there... you, too...

Are you clicking those ruby red Nikes together again?

Very sad news. And so young! I honestly don't recall if we ever met at a show but he looks very familiar. My best wishes for his family at such a shitty time.

My profile says I've been here since 2002, but I think the board was revamped back then and everyone had to sign up again. Been listening since 2000, I think. But if I'm considered an Old Skool Board Whore then I think I just made the cut.
7  MSI Main Arena / Mindless Banter / The Unofficial MSI Biography on: October 06, 2015, 12:43:03 PM
James Euringer got his first real keyboard; he bought it at the five-and-dime, playing it until his fingers bled. That was the summer of '87. Then, around the summer of '97, he and his brother Markus, Steve Righ?, and Kitty had a band and they tried real hard. Markus quit. Vanessa Y.T. took his place but became an astronaut and was later replaced by Lyn-Z. Jimmy got married (but that was much later). Jimmy thought they would never get far. But he was young and restless and needed to unwind.

That's all I have so far, but I'm sure it's enough to garner massive interest in my $500,000 Kickstarter to get it published. You read it here first!

Dear MLZ,

No questions. Just wanted to share my excitement over finding my old sig banner again.

Perhaps it's time for that "MSI Board Retirement Home" Kickstarter....
10  MSI Main Arena / Mindless Banter / Re: To be honest, MSI will never be the same on: June 30, 2015, 12:44:37 PM
Same rant, different year.

That's why so many people get angrier as they get older...they see and hear the same things from younger generations, all under the guise of being new and unique. Yes, everyone's old favorite bands will eventually not make them happy. Yes, it's possible the universe is just a molecule in a blade of grass in some other universe; it's not a novel concept. Yes, the McRib is back. HULK SMASK!

People keep telling me that, but I'm not so sure.

If MSI decides to meet folks after the show, it usually happens at the stage. However, the last show (not MSI) I went to at Center Stage, they made the performer move from the floor to the end of the hall on the right for the unofficial meet and greet. In other words, if you're at the stage and facing it, turn right, go up a landing or two of stairs into the hall. The crowd was pretty tame at that show, so they may be too a-scared to herd a larger crowd to the hall.
